introducing our missionaries...
Sarah Barclay, from Newmarket, ON, was an “unofficial intern” with NCEM last year for several months at Big River Bible Camp and this year she has decided to make her internship “official.” She is devoting herself to ministry at BRBC until September 2021, when she will begin attending Bible school at Millar Sunnybrae in British Columbia.
Sarah’s internship involves helping with the AWANA program run through the camp. Due to COVID-19, AWANA programs on the reserves surrounding Big River have been moved online and Sarah has been involved in playing minute-to-win-it games, aiding in memory verse recitation, and teaching the Bible story for the videos that are posted for the children to watch. Sarah also looks forward to a weekly Youth Group where they have games and a hang-out time, as well as a Bible study.
Aside from these activities, Sarah has also been helping out at NCEM headquarters in Prince Albert where she has been involved in closed-captioning for the Tribal Trails TV program, as well as previewing upcoming shows.
And in her spare time, Sarah is getting to know some of the kids in the community at the local ski hill where she loves to snowboard.
