Support Marcie

Hi! My name is Marcie, and I’m the camp kitchen manager at Pine Ridge Bible Camp, near Beauval, in northwestern Saskatchewan.

I first came out to the Camp in 2015 with my youth group, and I loved everything about the place. This surprised me because, at first, I was really not pumped to go to camp. I thought I didn’t really like people, it was a new experience, and I thought I was shy — apparently, those were good reasons for not wanting to go.

It turns out that camp is a great place to be and that I needed to be there in 2015. It was good for me. My family noticed a positive change in me when I got back home after those two weeks. 🙂

So that first week I was at the Camp turned into two, and every summer since 2015, I have tried to make time to go up to Pine Ridge.

In 2020 I decided to do an internship with NCEM here at the Camp just to see what camp was like year-round. But since 2020 was a confusing year without camp, NCEM decided to let me extend my internship for another year. Woohoo!

I think it’s crazy how that first week turned from one into two, and now I just recently decided to stay on as a short-term missionary! I think it’s funny how God works sometimes. When I first came out in 2015, I never would have imagined that I would be heading up the kitchen department in a few years!

Pine Ridge has helped me, and that’s what I want to do for our campers – help them see who God has made them to be and see them coming to know Jesus as their personal Saviour.
