Support the Fawcetts

It was in the fall and winter of 2008 that God began His work in leading us to serve at Arrowhead. We were both fully engaged in careers, Grant as a graphic artist and Liz as a pharmacy technician. It was through His work alone that we found ourselves moving to the Mission house in September of 2009.

Grant had served as a volunteer at Arrowhead in the summer of 2009, and our house in Windsor, Nova Scotia, sold shortly afterwards. We could clearly see God’s hand in our lives.

We are thankful for God’s sovereign care and planning, because had we known the challenges we would face in ministry I think it is unlikely we would have had the courage to follow Him.

We served until 2011 as support at Arrowhead, Grant doing maintenance and accounting and Liz helping in the kitchen. That July the former director resigned from Arrowhead and Grant was asked by the Mission executive to fill the role of interim director for the remainder of the summer. That fall we were asked to move into the role full time.

It has been a joy to serve at Arrowhead in the intervening years. We welcomed our beautiful daughters Ivy, Willow and Poppy in 2012, 2014 and 2020, and we are so happy to see them grow up here.

We have been excited to see Arrowhead grow from two weeks of summer camp in 2009 to now include a variety of ministries including a bookstore, clothing shop, pastoral care ministry, conferences and, Lord willing, six weeks of camp next summer. Our greatest desire is to serve obediently and to the best of our abilities. We want to see the Gospel communicated well, Scripture to be held high, and Christ to be central to everything.
