TODAY I AM ADDING MY THANKS to the Lord, praising His name, declaring His lovingkindness in the morning and faithfulness every night with pen and paper. In chapter 92, the Psalmist did the same thing with an instrument of 10 strings, lute and harp.
At NCEM’s office, every morning when our staff open the mail, God’s lovingkindness is shown through the faithfulness of supporters who partner financially with our missionaries and the various ministries of NCEM. When we hear of those praying for us, we are encouraged to carry on despite the challenges.
God is touching hearts and building His church among First Nations. The Lord may be stirring your heart to come and join us. We know of many large and small communities asking for a resident missionary.
Our Tribal Trails TV Department has opportunities for people with various skills. Our Publications Department and Printshop have openings for a writer/editor and graphic designer. Our main office is in need of a bookkeeper and an accountant. Thank you for adding these opportunities to your prayers.
In this issue of Northern Lights you’ll notice we’ve included articles from a few of our “Associate” missionaries. Our Associates include those who have employment or ministries in Indigenous communities. They are a great help to our career missionaries and to local Native churches. In communities not reached by our missionaries or ministry partners, they have found many unique openings to do the Lord’s work.
Please contact us if this is something you are interested in (ncem@ncam.ca). Even if you do not wish to join us as an official member, we may be able to help you find effective ways to contribute to reaching Canada’s First Peoples in the communities in which you work or visit.
